The biggest performance advantage with R-P bag filters is reduced chance for bypass contamination. The sealing arrangement is the key. Simply stated, the more sealing points you have the greater the chance for bypass contamination. Cartridge systems have a minimum of six times more points to be sealed than an R-P bag filter... sometimes 20 or more. Also, with so many parts to assemble during cartridge change out, there is always the chance for misalignment and inadequate sealing, leading to a chance for contaminants to bypass filtration. | ||
